Lakers both Good and Lucky in Vegas as Tournament Time opens vs CAVS

Word is D'Angelo Russell DOES have "ice in his veins."

His teammates reaped the benefit in the team's second game when Russell nailed a game-winning deep three for their second of three wins.

The Team got their third win versus Golden State on Monday to head into NBA Summer League Tournament Play with a bye in round one.
Coming off of two and a half days of "rest" can be a good thing.

The Cavs played yesterday and won, in spite of a nice performance by number three pick Jaylen Brown, (24 pts, 9 rebounds) of the Boston Celtics.

We shall see if Jordan MacRae can continue with a results similar to the spectacular 32 point effort he had yesterday (32 pts, 9-21 FG, 12-12 FT, 2-5 3 pt).  Kay Felder added 22 points for the Cavs.  This might be the toughest match yet for the Lakers.  To get the win against Philly, it took an epic ending by D'Angelo as the ice in his veins kept him ultra cool in the desert heat.

If the Lakers can come out with the same energy and intensity as they did in their game one match-up against New Orleans then it will be difficult for anyone to contest.
The Suns are a dangerous team so lookout for last year's runner-up.

The Lakers will have to off set their defensive deficiencies on the perimeter and get back to the swarming defense they have shown, mostly in Game One.

With Ivica Zubac in the middle, and Nance Jr. and Ingram on the wings, the Los Angeles Lakers can cover some ground on Defense and that is what they will need for a win today.
