Nick Young's House Broken Into Sunday Night
LA LAKERS @LATIMES @latimeslakers tweeted today (March 24, 2014) an Article in the LA Times regarding a burglary that took place while the Los Angeles Lakers were playing at the Staples Center on Sunday Night versus the Orlando Magic.
Nick Young's Shoes: STOLEN SUNDAY NIGHT 3/23/14 |
This news on the heel of some publicity that Nick Young has received on his #RedOctober shoes. The Kanye West brand shoes run approximately $6,000.00 per pair, according to sources.
Other Laker players, like Jodie Meeks, are jealous of Nick Young and his shoes.
Trudell asks Meeks about Red Octobers at minute 1:56.
Sources Report that other Nike shoes stolen that are of value and drawers w, etc were opened and gone through.
It has not yet been confirmed, but the approximate $100,000.00 may ALL be shoes. At $6,000,00 per pair, this would make a total of 16-17 pair of Kanye's Shoes stolen from Nick Young's home with one other high end pair of Nikes missing ($4,000.00).
TWO LAKER players are on the LAPD suspects list:
G Jodie Meeks who is on record as being jealous of the shoes and said Nick Young better watch out, and F/C Jordan Hill, who Nick Young told reporters last night (Sunday) that he "would take him to Nike Town or sumpn...just get him some Basics..so he doesn't have to wear them Swap meet shoes.."
Is there a connection to the Red Octobers selling out and Nick Young's stockpiling of the shoe? IS there jealousy of the shoes amongst the Lakers? Why is Nick Young so protective of the "shoes?"
Perhaps Nick Young's Secrecy and Flamboyant ways cost him.
Although there is truth in the report, as posted by @latimeslakers, all other reporting is fictitious and meant to humorous (although the cost of the shoes is accurate and the comments made by players DID happen). It appears as though there were shoes and merch stolen from Nick Young's home. It also appears as though everyone is fine and there are no injuries. I love Nick Young, as do ALL Lakers FANS! He has a tremendous attitude and great sense of humor. #Laker4Life. Sorry to hear of this News, now Kobe might kick you more "9s" + that % you're looking for (haha).
Wouldn't it be something though if the Lakers players pulled a shoe prank, and that there REALLY IS a
"Hunt for (Swaggy Ps) Red Octobers"
