SAVE KOBE BRYANT OF THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS

Ferris Beuller's Day Off is an iconic film by John Hughes.  In the film,

Matthew Broderick, plays the character "Ferris Bueller."

Word travels fast of Mr. Bueller's "sickness" as he seeks out a day of fun and adventure with his pals while playing hooky.

The classmates pursue a collection to "SAVE FERRIS" as his so-called symptoms develop into needing a new kidney.  #comedy

Although the classmates of Mr. "Bueller..Bueller.....Anyone?" (Could not resist) start their collection under false pretense, the idea of starting up a collection to help a friend, classmate or someone you care about is a GREAT!

So, with that in mind, may I suggest a campaign that               might HELP?

SAVE KOBE                                                                  and SAVE the Los Angeles Lakers ?

As of March 30, 2014, the Los Angeles Lakers have a total of
3.71 Million Followers on Twitter

and

19 Million "Likes" on Facebook.

With perhaps the number one fan base in the world (NOT just in numbers but in Loyalty and Support!), may I suggest and implore, that fans Worldwide

                                                                                                                                                                #SAVEKOBE

With the "passing of the hat" and the shaking of the "Pepsi" Can, a la Ferris Bueller's Day off, do you think it's possible to collect enough money, from the FANS, to buyout Coach Mike D'Antoni's contract?

Mike D'Antoni has one year left on his current contract with an option for 2015-16.  Some have said that it makes sense to keep Coach based on the current position of the team with respect to Free Agency (availability) and cap space.

Q: With an estimated $3-4 Million Dollars left on his contract, how much do you think the Lakers Coach would "walk away" with should the Lakers decide to buyout his contract?

                                       $1 M ... $1.5M... $2M..?

Bare in mind, also, that the Lakers previous Coach (A Mike with a different name (Brown)) was fired and bought out.  Subsequent to Mike Brown's buyout was the hiring back by the Cleveland Cavaliers who picked up some of those dollars.  Point being, there is more to these contract and buyouts than meets the eye.

It may NOT happen (The #firedantoni Campaign NOR the #SaveKobe Campaign), however, with the number of followers, fans, and like that this storied franchise and all the history and #LakerLore around, wouldn't it be interesting if the fans actually rallied?

HISTORY WOULD BE MADE

What would 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or even 1 dollar generate, per fan, that actually would like to see the Lakers Coach terminated?

Easy Math EXAMPLE: Half of the 3.7 M Twitter Followers is 1.85 M.  50 Cents, per fan at 1.85M, is .925M or $925,000.00.

Personally, I get a sense that more than half of the Lakers' Fans would like to see a new coach.  Most people I run into and discuss the issue with share the sentiments of #firedantoni, but..

              I could be wrong..

What do YOU think?
