Shut UP and Dance: The Los Angeles Lakers need to learn how to dance better ...

Laker Talk reigns supreme in my world and during a recent chat with a friend it was mentioned,

"The Lakers Just need to learn how to Dance."

For your listening pleasure:

I paused and looked at my friend who proceeded to say,

"Yeah, you can put the two most talented dancers in the world together but that doesn't necessarily mean they will dance well together," he said emphatically.

"The Lakers have talent," he continued, "But, Can they dance together?  Can they Play together?  Because right now, they're not dancing (well) together."

Makes sense, I said, "If we are talking about gelling, camaraderie and unity, this does seem to be an issue."  There were moments in the last game versus Orlando that I thought I saw slight "dissing" (on the floor) from a couple of the Vets towards D'Angelo.

Is there is a disconnect?  Is this about the mixture of "talent" and individuals including an aged Kobe Bryant who has already missed the last two and now possibly a third in a row: "Rest" and "Sick" are being used as his excuses or ailments.  Is THIS the same Kobe that dropped free throws after tearing his achilles?

Achilles' Last Stand, if you will _ Zep

As a kid I remember seeing footage of Lynn Swan taking ballet so he could improve on things like double toe-touching while catching a ball going out of bounds.

Hey, maybe some of these Lakers could use a little help there (footwork) too.

Maybe Football knows something that "we" don't

But, the point is this:  Coach or No Coach, talent or NO talent, THIS team needs to figure out how to work together, as a unit, or else they will continue to suffer "Ls" and those "Ls" might lead to an early departure of Byron Scott whose head is ALREADY being called for.

I don't blame people for suggesting so.  The same thing happened with Mike D'Antoni.  BUT, After going through Mike Brown to Mike D'Antoni to Byron Scott, the most successful coach has been:

Albeit a very small sample size he had success with the Lakers.  Additionally, at what point do you STOP the coaching carousel, sit back and allow a team to play some ball.

We did know that THIS team was NOT necessarily a playoff team, correct?  I say THAT because I believe that ANYONE TEAM can beat ANY OTHER team on ANY given Day.

That being said, we realize how stacked the West is and that the Lakers are starting a 19 year old at point who has been thrust into action with two "other" rookies (granted both are sophmore players).

Progress is happening and THAT is what MANY fans really want to see.  Yes, a "double u" is nice but rather than seeing RE-gression we hope we see PRO-gression.

One THING IS CERTAIN: You definitely need to have the right dance partner(s) if you want to win.

N.B.A. Power Rankings, Based Entirely On Statistical Data

N.B.A. 2014-2015 POWER RANKINGS

Prepared prior to games played on evening of Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

Roughly 25-30% of the 2014-2015 N.B.A. season has concluded and rather than fluff the facts with opinion, here is data based on statistical data, 100%.

Current Conference Standing & 18 statistical categories spanning Offense (Points, Assists, Field Goals, Free Throws & 3Pt FG’s), Defense (Opp Pts, Assists, FG’s, FT’s, 3’s, Rebounds, Blocks, Steals, Turnovers) & Differential’s (Point, FG, FT & 3Pt FG Differentials) are factored here, providing the most
unfiltered N.B.A.’s "power" rankings:

1. Golden State Warriors
2. Memphis Grizzlies
3. Portland Trailblazers
4. San Antonio Spurs
5. Atlanta Hawks
6. Washington Wizards
7. Toronto Raptors
8. Los Angeles Clippers
9. Dallas Mavericks
10. Chicago
11. Houston Rockets
12. Cleveland Cavaliers
13. Oklahoma City Thunder
14. New Orleans Pelicans
15. Phoenix Suns
16. Milwaukee Bucks
17. Miami Heat
18. Denver Nuggets
19. Indiana Pacers
20. Brooklyn Nets
21. Boston Nets
22. Sacramento Kings
23. New York Knicks
24. Utah Jazz
25. Orlando Magic
26. Los Angeles Lakers
27. Detroit Pistons
28. Philadelphia 76ers
29. Charlotte Hornets
30. Minnesota Timberwolves

Each category is weighted the same, no matter how a Fan, Player,
Trainer, Agent, Coach, G.M. or Owner may revere a stat category, so the
strength of scoring, handling-the-ball, (or not turning it over), rebounding,
and blocking a shot is just as important/relevant as FT%, Points/Field Goal Differentials, stealing the ball or holding the opposition to fewest points per game.

Career day with Lakers Jordan Hill

It must be nice for the Los Angeles Lakers to finally have someone put up career numbers "for them" as opposed to against them.  Jordan Hill, forward for the Lakers, did just that Sunday night. One game removed from the Friday night scuffle, where Jordan Hill came to the aid teammate Nick Young, Mr Hill found himself in the starting lineup.

This paid big dividends for the Los Angeles Lakers.

In 33 minutes played, Jordan Hill had 28 points on 9 of 15 shots made and made 10 of 13 Free Throws.

Mr. Hill also had 13 rebounds, with four of those being on the  offensive end.

Mr. Hill had this to say afterwards,

The team got the win, and the fans got "Free 2 Tacos" from Taco Bell for just the eighth time this season, with the final score at 103-94.

The Lakers DID get out rebounded, in spite of the tremendous effort of Hill, totaling 34 to the Orlando Magic's 46.

The Lakers have out rebounded the opposition only 12 times this season.

Nick Young came off the bench with another 20 point+ performance at 26 on 8-17 FGs, 2-4 from three and 8-9 from the stripe in 26 minutes.

Jodie Meeks chipped in with 13 points on 4-11 shooting over 40 minutes, and Kent Bazemore had 8 points and was the team's leading distributor with 8 assists with ZERO TURNOVERS.

Pau Gasol who did not make it out of the team's locker room for the second half Sunday Night, played only 18 minutes.  It was reported that he was on I.V. at halftime.

The Lakers will face the New York Knicks at home Tuesday Night.

FREE TACOS, WE WANT TACOS FOR LOS ANGELES LAKERS FANS, TACO TACO TACO MAN: #Free2Tacos

It's been one of the Worst Seasons Ever Recorded by the Los Angeles Lakers Franchise, so the small victories, battles and silver linings might be harder to find.

One happened last night. "Taco, Taco MAN.."

Not ONLY did the LAKERS beat the Orlando Magic 103-94, thanks in Large Part to a CAREER DAY by F Jordan Hill and Swaggy P's 26, but the FANS in attendance received TWO FREE TACOS:

Often you will hear Fans at the Game, with accompaniment by Organ, chanting "We Want TA-COs...WE WANT TA-COS..." towards the ends of games (when winning).

Well, by "often," I mean that in usual "Laker" years...

It hasn't happened THAT often this season and the fans got their #Free2Tacos for just the EIGHTH time this season.

Perhaps, we spoiled Lakers Fans, must learn to appreciate those tacos more rather than expect our free lunch the day after each game.

Nick Young's House Broken Into Sunday Night

LA LAKERS @LATIMES @latimeslakers tweeted today (March 24, 2014) an Article in the LA Times regarding a burglary that took place while the Los Angeles Lakers were playing at the Staples Center on Sunday Night versus the Orlando Magic.

JORDAN HILL IS KING OF THE HILL AS HE Restores Order v Wizards

Jordan Hill, forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, played in Friday night's ball game against the Washington Wizards. Mr. Hill hadn't played in the last several ball games for the Lakers. In fact, for the team photo the other day,  Mr. Hill was absent.
