N.B.A. 2014-2015
POWER RANKINGS
ZERO OPINION; 100% statistical
By N.P.Misso

1/18/2015 (Prepared prior to games played on Sunday, January 18th, 2015)

Half of the 2014-2015 N.B.A. season has concluded & Golden State remains strongest thus far.  But, unlike 1-month ago, Atlanta is #2, moving up 3-positions and remaining the strongest team in the East.

Power Rankings here are based upon current Conference position & 18 statistical categories, including Offense (Points, Assists, Field Goals, Free Throws & 3-Pt FG’s), Defense (Opp Pts, Assists, FG’s, FT’s, 3’s, Rebounds, Blocks, Steals, Turnovers) & Point Differential’s (Point, FG, FT & 3-Pt FG Differentials).

NBA POWER RANKINGS (Previous Ranking)

1. Golden State Warriors (1)
2. Atlanta Hawks (5)
3. Portland Trailblazers (3)
4. San Antonio Spurs (4)
5. Los Angeles Clippers (8)
6. Memphis Grizzlies (2)
7. Dallas Mavericks (9)
8. Washington Wizards (6)
9. Chicago Bulls (10)
10. Milwaukee Bucks (16)
11. Toronto Raptors (7)
12. Phoenix Suns (15)
13. Houston Rockets (11)
14. New Orleans Pelicans (14)
15. Oklahoma City Thunder (11)
16. Indiana Pacers (19)
17. Denver Nuggets (18)

27. Los Angeles Lakers (26)
28. New York Knicks (23)
29. Philadelphia 76ers (28)
30. Minnesota Timberwolves (30)

Each category is weighted the same, irrespective of how a Fan, Player, Trainer, Agent, Coach, G.M. or Owner may revere a stat category, injury or current streak.  Scoring, handling-the-ball, (or not turning-it-over), rebounding, and blocking a shot is just as important/relevant as Free-throw Shooting Percentage, Points/Field-Goal Differentials, stealing the ball or holding the opposition to fewest points per game.

N.B.A. Power Rankings, Based Entirely On Statistical Data

N.B.A. 2014-2015 POWER RANKINGS

Prepared prior to games played on evening of Wednesday, December 17th, 2014

Roughly 25-30% of the 2014-2015 N.B.A. season has concluded and rather than fluff the facts with opinion, here is data based on statistical data, 100%.

Current Conference Standing & 18 statistical categories spanning Offense (Points, Assists, Field Goals, Free Throws & 3Pt FG’s), Defense (Opp Pts, Assists, FG’s, FT’s, 3’s, Rebounds, Blocks, Steals, Turnovers) & Differential’s (Point, FG, FT & 3Pt FG Differentials) are factored here, providing the most
unfiltered N.B.A.’s "power" rankings:

1. Golden State Warriors
2. Memphis Grizzlies
3. Portland Trailblazers
4. San Antonio Spurs
5. Atlanta Hawks
6. Washington Wizards
7. Toronto Raptors
8. Los Angeles Clippers
9. Dallas Mavericks
10. Chicago
11. Houston Rockets
12. Cleveland Cavaliers
13. Oklahoma City Thunder
14. New Orleans Pelicans
15. Phoenix Suns
16. Milwaukee Bucks
17. Miami Heat
18. Denver Nuggets
19. Indiana Pacers
20. Brooklyn Nets
21. Boston Nets
22. Sacramento Kings
23. New York Knicks
24. Utah Jazz
25. Orlando Magic
26. Los Angeles Lakers
27. Detroit Pistons
28. Philadelphia 76ers
29. Charlotte Hornets
30. Minnesota Timberwolves

Each category is weighted the same, no matter how a Fan, Player,
Trainer, Agent, Coach, G.M. or Owner may revere a stat category, so the
strength of scoring, handling-the-ball, (or not turning it over), rebounding,
and blocking a shot is just as important/relevant as FT%, Points/Field Goal Differentials, stealing the ball or holding the opposition to fewest points per game.
