Exhibition: Lakers V D-Fenders

Recently, Center Travis Hyman, of the Los Angeles D-Fenders, made a remark about the idea of playing the Los Angeles Lakers.  I proceeded to ask him the question,

"Do you (the DFenders) want to challenge the them (Lakers) to a game?"

Mr. Hyman:

"Absolutely.  I think we would win too.  And, so do other guys on the team."

James Southerland, a couple weeks before he was called up to the NBA Pelicans, alluded to the same thing with respect to the notion of playing the Lakers.

In an interview with D-Fenders Guard, Andre Ingram, I ask him about the idea of playing the Lakers.

I don't care what level of ball you play, you play to compete and WIN.  And, every team should think, and believe that THEIR team is going to win.

This season, however, many people might pick the D-Fenders to win in the matchup v the Los Angeles Lakers.

It certainly raises a good question?

WHO DO YOU THINK WOULD WIN in a GAME Between                                     the

                               D-Fenders and Lakers?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THAT GAME AS AN EXHIBITION?

THE D-FENDERS CONTEND THAT THE LAKERS WOULD NOT DO IT.

I WILL GO OUT ON THAT LIMB AND SAY THAT THE D-FENDERS WIN.

1) THERE WILL ONLY BE 3 PLAYERS ON CONTRACT, EXCLUDING KENDALL MARSHALL'S 2nd YR OPTION, AND 2 OF THOSE 3 ARE INJURED (KOBE AND NASH).

SO, BY DEFAULT, THE LAKERS CANNOT EVEN FIELD A TEAM RIGHT NOW (POST-SEASON).

THAT WILL CHANGE OF COURSE AS THE PURPLE AND GOLD DOMINOeS WILL GO INTO MOTION.  STEP ONE HAS OCCURRED ALREADY WITH LOCKING MITCH UP, WHAT COMES NEXT?

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE A FUN, CHARITABLE EVENT THAT MIGHT EVEN INCLUDE A MIXED SQUAD, OR ALUMNI ASPECT, ALONG WITH SOME OTHER EXHIBITION ITEMS LIKE A DUNK CONTEST.

I CAN THINK OF A COUPLE PEOPLE THAT MIGHT COACH...

BSCOTT TO COACH LAKERS? (EXHIBITION)
