The interest of the "status" of the Los Angeles Lakers' Coach is remarkable and in many ways has become a spectacle of sorts. One of the biggest questions surrounding the coach is where he might go to coach next, as in immediately. I would rather ask this question: Why, after the two seasons that Mike D'Antoni has had at the helm would he want to Coach at all next season (should he and the Lakers part ways)?
Many people, in fact, would go on a paid vacay because it is certainly very unlikely it will be a Staycay... Althought THERE IS a Venice in CA, most fans would like to see Mike D'Antoni somewhere very far from LA.

Much of the day, on sports talk radio, was spent yesterday April 23, 2014, talking about the article written by Chuck McGill of the Charleston Daily Mail. This is an excerpt from that article:
"Sources told the Charleston Daily Mail on Tuesday afternoon that D’Antoni will remain the head coach of the Lakers and, thus, will not be in position to accept the vacant Herd hoops job." -
Q: who are the "sources" and what did "they" say?

Mike D'Antoni's alma mater is Marshall University and he remains tied to the school and Mr. Dantoni recently told everyone that they are always trying to get him to coach

While everyone is spending time discussing how D'Antoni is staying with the Lakers, Marshall University seemed SO confident that the Lakers WILL BE FIRING MIKE D'ANTONI THAT THEY WERE OFFERING HIM A MULTI-YEAR, MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR DEAL (according to Chuck McGill).
Having a Guaranteed YEAR left on Contract, Mike D'Antoni will have a multi-million dollar deal to go on VACATION!
